Praying Without Performance
Dryness in prayer is not proof that God has withdrawn. Sometimes it is an invitation to pray without the reward of strong feeling, trusting that communion is real even when emotion is quiet.
Pray the Psalms aloud, keep your prayers honest, and shorten the distance between daily tasks and prayer. A whispered sentence of surrender can be deeply faithful.
